This week, the National Scholarship Office is hosting two information sessions for the Boren Awards and Critical Language Scholarships, two excellent opportunities for VCU students to get full funding to study foreign language abroad. The National Scholarship Office assists students in pursuing these awards.


 

Boren Scholarship Information Session

Wednesday, Oct. 7 at Noon: 701 W. Grace St., Rm 1210

Boren Awards are open to US-citizen undergraduate and graduate students who wish to study abroad outside of Western Europe, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Fall, spring, summer, and full year awards are available. Recipients must agree to work for the Federal Government after the program for 1 year per year awarded. 


 

Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Program Information Session

Friday, Oct. 9 at 1:00pm: 701 W. Grace St., Rm 1303

CLS is a fully-funded overseas intensive summer language institutes and cultural immersion programs for American undergraduate and graduate students, who will spend 8-10 weeks in a host country where chosen target language is spoken.
