Mr. Jeff Wing, Director of the National Scholarship Office, will hold three information sessions regarding the Presidential Management Fellows Program on Friday, September 7, from 12-1pm in Room 1015 of the School of Nursing, and another session from 2-3pm in the Commons Theatre. The third information session will be on Monday, September 10 at 11:30am in the School of Social Work, Room 011.
The goal of the Presidential Management Fellows is to recruit into the federal government graduate students who are interested in a career in public service, particularly working for the federal government. Applicants from ALL academic disciplines who have a strong commitment and interest in public programs are encouraged to apply.
Candidates for the Presidential Management Fellows Program should have a minimum GPA of 3.5 and be completing a graduate degree by August 2013.
At each, Dr. Charles Conyers, a graduate of VCU’s Public Administration PhD program and a former Presidential Management Fellow, will share his experiences with the PMF and working in the Office of Personnel Management for the federal government. ALL graduate students, regardless of discipline, are encouraged to attend to learn more about the PMF. Undergraduates are also welcome.
