Put Some Tech in Your T&L

When publishing Echo360 using the standard publisher (VCU Blackboard v9) on newly created or copied Blackboard courses, the Echo link fails to publish to the “Course Documents” section of the Blackboard Course. By default, the Echo360 publisher will attempt to publish to the “Class Capture” content area first, if it exists; if not, then it will attempt to publish to “Course Documents”.
After extensive research and troubleshooting with both Echo360 and Blackboard, it has been determined that this is a known issue which is resolved in a newer version of Blackboard.  Learning Systems is currently scheduled to upgrade to the newer version in May. Until then, there are 2 workarounds available to you:
1. Create a new content area in your Blackboard course menu, called “Class Capture”.
2. Publish to the EchoCenter using the Echo360 publisher called “BbPROD – Seamless & EchoCenter”.
Details and instructions for the above items are located in the Technology Services askIT Knowledge Base.
