Using VoiceThread for Student Portfolios – June 20 at 1:00pm ET – Register
If you are interested in learning how to use VoiceThread as a portfolio tool to showcase student work or to provide feedback for their work in progress, we can help. In this workshop, we will showcase a variety of student portfolio examples and collaborate on a shared brainstorm discussion.
VoiceThread and Storytelling – June 27 at 1:00pm ET – Register
Most cognitive scientists agree that storytelling is a great way to help your message stick in the minds of an audience. Our minds are fine-tuned to remember information shared within a narrative structure, not a broadcast lecture. In this workshop, participants will learn how to use VoiceThread to create engaging stories with their students.
Teaching Languages with VoiceThread – July 11 at 1:00pm ET – Register
This session with include co-presenter Araceli Trujillo, a language instructor who will showcase her VoiceThreads. Whether students are learning English or any other language, vocabulary, grammar and speaking are fundamental elements of any course. After completing this training, educators will be better equipped to design innovative lessons to develop these fundamentals with their students.
Humanizing Online Courses with VoiceThread – July 18 at 1:00pm ET – Register
This session with include co-presenter Curtis Izen, a college instructor and VoiceThread Certified Educator who has been teaching online for over 10 years. Curtis will discuss how he transitioned from text-based discussions to VoiceThread to improve student learning in his online courses.
