Issue with eInstruction CPS Clickers and Blackboard
We have just been informed by eInstruction, the vendor for CPS clickers, that their current plug-in is not compatible with Blackboard 9.1. They have released a new plug-in today, and we are currently working to get it tested and on production Blackboard as soon as possible.
Currently instructors may see an error when trying to sync their CPS rosters with Blackboard. The new plug-in is supposed to correct this issue, but you will need to re-register your Blackboard courses with CPS.
For students who have already registered their CPS clickers, they will need to register again from their Blackboard course, after the new plug-in is installed. eInstruction has assured us that students should be able to re-register without issue and without being prompted to pay. If you should have problems at all, please contact them at 888-333-4988 and let them know you are from VCU, and they should be able to assist you.
We will post status updates on this blog as we work through this issue. If all goes well, we hope to have this fix in place on production by tomorrow, 5/23/12.
