Message for returning residents:

This weekend’s winter weather forecast is going to impact residents returning to campus on Sunday, January 16. The Virginia Department of Transportation is advising against travel on Sunday. Thus, we are asking those residents with Sunday travel plans not to return to campus on Sunday. VCU has also issued a new alert on the VCU Alert page with updates and information regarding the upcoming weekend.

As a returning resident, you may return to campus beginning today, Friday, January 14, through the coming week. You are being asked to adjust your travel plans prior to or after the winter weather forecasted for Sunday. If you do not come before Sunday then you are encouraged to monitor forecasts and road information for your entire route and exercise sound judgment before starting your trip on Monday.

VCU Parking and Transportation has also announced the closure of the top-level of parking decks beginning Saturday night. If your vehicle is parked on the top-level, please move it to a lower level.

Please check the VCU Alert page for updates throughout the weekend.

If you have any questions, please see your hall staff or email vcuhousing@vcu.edu.
