What tools helped you the most when you started out?
Crowdsourcing feedback from trusted friends and peers, and AI tools. Balancing customer interest with personal philosophy and style.
What was the biggest challenge to maintaining your business?
Coordinating the practical stuff like scheduling, licensing etc. As a baker and real estate agent, it’s exciting to find opportunities to cross-promote each venture. That requires a great deal of foresight and sound advice to ensure that the appropriate elements of each business blend or remain separated.
What advice do you have for people considering starting a business?
Understand yourself well. You need to know your strengths and areas for improvement, so you can focus on where you shine. Understand you may need to adjust and/or reset your expectations.
