A graphic for Welcome to the City invites alumni to find new connections in their communities.

Whether you’re new to your area or have lived there for years, Welcome to the City events connect you to your local VCU community and strengthen your ties to your alma mater.

Enjoy food, drink and conversation with fellow Rams at these upcoming events. Registration for each of the events is $5; May 2019 graduates get in free.

The Triangle
6-9 p.m. Aug. 24
Meet up at Tobacco Road Sports Cafe, 280 S. Mangum St., at the Durham Bulls stadium for appetizers and drinks. Stick around to see the Bulls play the Gwinnett Stripers and catch the Saturday night fireworks after the game.

6:30-8:30 p.m. Sept. 20
Share advice about life after graduation and get the inside scoop on living in the area. Meet at Arlington Rooftop Bar and Grille, 2424 Wilson Blvd.

Hampton Roads
6:30-8:30 p.m. Sept. 26
The VCU Alumni Hampton Roads Chapter invites you to meet at O’Connor Brewing Co., 211 W. 24th St., Norfolk. Open to recent graduates, regional newcomers and anyone who’d like to get to know the local Ramily.
