Virginia Commonwealth University Department of Pediatric Dentistry is seeking applicants for a board-eligible pediatric dentist to serve as a fellow in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry. Responsibilities will predominately include clinical practice, including hospital-based practice and delivery of care in outpatient surgery centers.

The Pediatric Dental Fellowship is a 6-12 month program designed to provide the participant with experience in the provision of pediatric dentistry in a hospital and clinical practice setting, sedation management with the use of oral and/or IV sedation, hospital and dental-clinic based general anesthesia. There will be opportunities for participation in clinical teaching and pediatric-based seminars in both dentistry and medicine.  These cumulative experiences should result in the participant’s ability to develop an exemplary portfolio of Pediatric dental cases and preparation for board certification.

Applicants must have a DDS or DMD, a certificate from a pediatric dentistry program, and eligibility for licensure in Virginia.  Send CV and two references to Dr. Tegwyn Brickhouse, Chair, Department of Pediatric Dentistry, VCU School of Dentistry, 521 N 11th St, Richmond, VA 23298-0566 (thbrickhouse@vcu.edu). Virginia Commonwealth University is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.  Women, minorities and persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
