This summer the Labs and Classrooms Computing team has upgraded all centrally supported classrooms to update application software and provide a refreshed desktop experience. The new desktop experience provides a clearer view of the most commonly used applications, support information, weather info, and other information.

With the transition to Top Hat, our new desktop experience also provides two quick links for accessing both the Top Hat website, and the Top Hat Presentation Tool directly from the desktop.

Lastly, we’ve addressed a number of outstanding issues from our previous update. For more information about these updates, please contact us at ts-classroom@vcu.edu. You can also request support for any centrally supported classroom by calling (804) 828-1098 on the Monroe Park campus, or (804) 828-3400 on the MCV campus. We’ve introduced a new way to submit tickets as well. Just email classroomtech@vcu.edu with a brief description of the problem and a ticket will be automatically generated so we can provide status updates and tracking.
