Art Carpenter, senior financial analyst for the C. Kenneth and Dianne Wright Center for Clinical and Translational Research (CCTR) at VCU, completed the “Sponsored Projects Administration Certification Program” and received his certificate on Tuesday, May 24 at the Virginia BioTechnology Research Park – BioTech One building. This voluntary five-month long program is jointly sponsored by the VCU Office of Research and Innovation and the VCU Office of the Senior Vice President for Finance and Administration.

“This is a rigorous and comprehensive program,” said Susan E. Robb, senior associate vice president for research administration and compliance for the VCU Office of Research. “Each of you should feel a huge sense of accomplishment. We believe that VCU is a better place because of you.”

The decade-long program is managed and coordinated by the Office of Sponsored Programs and combines online materials with five live class sessions.
