Look Ahead to 2020-2021 with the Housing Reapplication Process!
Students interested in living on-campus next year will need to complete a Housing Application for the Fall 2020 – Spring 2021 academic year. Housing Applications will open at noon on Friday, January 17 and are due no later than Friday, February 7, 2019, at noon. Students who submit an application by the deadline will be entered into a lottery system. Submitting an application does not guarantee a space on-campus, but rising sophomores will be given first priority. Students can apply via the online housing application which will be available on the VCU Residential Life and Housing site soon.
Same room sign-up is available in select halls for students who wish to live in the same room for the 2020-2021 academic year. Your student should check with their housing staff to see if same room sign-up is available for their building. Students staying in their current residence may pull in roommates once their housing is confirmed.
We highly encourage all students to complete a Housing Application, even if they are not 100% sure if they want to live on campus. Completing a Housing Application does not lock a student into a housing contract, and the housing contract is only considered signed once a student chooses a room. If a student does not select a space or see one that would fit their needs, they will not be locked into a housing contract and are free to search for other arrangements.

The application process for returning students has already concluded. applications closed on February 7 at noon. If your student filled out a returning student application then they should keep an eye on their email as the room selection process has been pushed back due to COVID-19. If your student will be a first-year in the fall, those applications have not opened yet. Please check back at a later date. Thank you!
I have not submitted my housing Application and am going to be a sophomore what can I do?

Covid-19 is obviously changing everything about campus life. Where can we find the latest updates and if campus closes during the year again, will housing, dining, parking, etc. be reimbursed for the remainder of the year?
