Making connections

Student involvement with STAT

Students Today Alumni Tomorrow, or STAT, is one of VCU’s largest and most active student organizations. STAT has several opportunities for your student this fall:

Join STAT: With a $10 gift to VCU’s Student Life and Learning Fund, your student can attend and plan the best events on campus, enjoy opportunities to meet alumni and build leadership skills. Make a $10 gift today to join and get a free T-shirt!

Become a leader: Is your student interested in taking on a leadership role? STAT is looking for new students to join its Leadership Council. LC members help plan and execute events on campus (or virtually) and have the opportunity to connect with alumni. Exclusive benefits for LC members include swag/gifts, professional development, alumni events and more. Encourage your student to apply online today. Applications are due Friday, Sept. 9.

Connect with the VCU community

Tap into the global VCU community of alumni, students, parents and friends through VCU Link. VCU Link is your link to your VCU network, where you can find:

  • A networking directory
  • Industry-based networking groups
  • Career-related resources
  • Mentoring opportunities

VCU Link isn’t just another networking platform — it’s designed specifically for the VCU community, with no extra costs for “premium” services. You and your student already have your VCU experience in common, so no call is a cold call when you already have a foot in the door. Share ideas on discussion boards, explore industry networks and directly email fellow Rams to make meaningful contacts.

Get ready to tap into the power of your network to achieve what’s next! It’s free and only takes a few minutes to sign up.
