VCU Parents and Families,

The Office of New Student and Family Programs has been reorganized effective Friday, October 15 to allow for strategic focus on each of the programs to meet the goals of the institution. New Student and Family Orientation (NSFO) will be returning to the Division of Strategic Enrollment Management and Student Success (SEMSS) while Family Programs will remain in the Division of Student Affairs (DSA).

We are very pleased that Lynanne Jamison, Ed.D. will move into the inaugural role of associate dean for families and family programs in the Dean of Students Office with her office remaining in West Grace South. Her focus will be continuing programming, support and advocacy for our parent and family community. She will continue her role with our growing and active family council, serve as a resource for parents and families, provide timely and substantive information to parents and families and consider innovative programming. Lauren Braun, Josh Leidy, and Elijah Pennock will move to NSFO and focus on the overall orientation experience.

The Division of Student Affairs will continue to work closely with NSFO and SEMSS assisting new students and their families transitioning to the university and collaborating on other initiatives to move the university forward.
