Join a Facebook Live Q&A led by Jacqueline Smith-Mason, Ph.D. (M.S.’89/GPA; Ph.D.’99/GPA), interim dean of the Honors College, as we discuss these questions and more with panelists Jay Albanese, Ph.D., professor of criminal justice in the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs, and Susan Bodnar-Deren, Ph.D., associate professor of sociology in the College of Humanities and Sciences and co-director of perinatal health research at the VCU Institute for Women’s Health.

This year things will look a little different with the United States Golf Association’s decision to move one of the world’s top golf tournaments to September. Join the VCU Center for Sport Leadership’s Greg Burton (M.Ed.’12/E) for a special Father’s Day weekend Q&A with the 2020 U.S. Open Tournament Director and VCU alumnus Charlie Howe (M.S.’07/E). He’ll answer your questions on the USGA, the PGA Tour and what it was like to have to shift this year’s tournament because of COVID-19.

All you need is an internet connection to enjoy an educational and fun wine-tasting experience with Terricinia St. Clair (B.F.A.’98/A), owner of The Tipsy Sommelier. In this interactive, virtual wine tasting, sponsored by the African-American Alumni Council, you’ll learn basic wine-tasting techniques, while discovering identifying characteristics of three of the six noble wine varietals, all of which can be purchased ahead of time at your local Total Wine store: Firebrand Chardonnay, Mina Mesa Cabernet and Dr. Heidermann’s Blitz Riesling.
