Honors College Continuing Student Informational Session

The Honors College invites current VCU students to attend an informational session. The meeting will be held in the Honors College, Multipurpose Room 1303, 701 W. Grace St., to learn about the benefits of joining the Honors College and how to apply. Attendance at an informational session is required in order to apply. The same informational session will also be offered at the same location at 4 p.m. April 19. AITP and VCU Business Career Services LinkedIn Workshop

Meet VCU’s Authors: Jennifer Rhee

4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Jennifer Rhee, Ph.D., associate professor of English at VCU, will discuss her latest book, “The Robotic Imaginary: The Human and the Price of Dehumanized Labor.” The book traces the provocative and productive connections of contemporary robots in technology, film, art and literature. Kappa Phi Gamma’s C.A.R.E. Week Showcase

8 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Kappa Phi Gamma Sorority presents its C.A.R.E. Week Showcase in the Ballroom of the University Student Commons, 907 Floyd Ave. The Showcase (Cancer Awareness: a Real Effort!) will include food from Hibachi Box restaurant and live performances by the Notochords, alpha Kappa Delta Phi Sorority and more. $1 entry. All proceeds will be donated to Bringing Hope Home, a nonprofit organization that provides financial and emotional support for local families experiencing cancer.
