Spring Family Event Series
This semester, VCU will host a series of events designed to engage family members who have a desire to meet other VCU parents and families and get more involved in the life of the university. These events are for adult family members, but you are welcome to also register your adult VCU student to attend. Please note a student may not attend without their family member as the purpose of these events is to create a meaningful opportunity for family engagement.
Due to the popularity of our paint events at Family Weekend this year, our first two events will be an opportunity to create a work of art for your home while enjoying time spent with other VCU families! We have partnered with local studio Wine & Design to offer these events at a reduced cost to families wanting to participate. Advanced registration is required and will be only $10 per person. Attendance will be limited at each event so early signup is encouraged.
Our first paint party will take place on Friday, February 22 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and will be limited to the first 40 registrants who sign up. You may register by visiting the specific event page through Wine & Design. Please enter code VCU (in all capital letters) when prompted to provide a private event code. This event will take place at Wine & Design which is conveniently located at 2707 West Broad Street and has ample parking as well as a GRTC Pulse bus stop right outside that makes travel to and from campus very easy. There are multiple restaurants in the area to enjoy dinner before the night begins. Food, wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase during the party. You may also bring your own wine with no corkage fee!
