VCU Public Health publishes 2025-2026 Annual Report
The report, which spans July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026, captures a young school in a key moment of growth
The VCU School of Public Health is pleased to announce the publication of the 2025-26 Annual Report. It highlights a year of progress, planning and outsized success for a school working to build its foundation as it grows. Find highlights of research, education, community engagement and professional success as well as bold plans for the future.
“As a new dean of a young school, I had bold aims for this past year. I’m proud to say we met many of them while laying a strong foundation for the years ahead,” said Monica Swahn, Ph.D., M.P.H., professor and dean of the VCU School of Public Health. “This report shows what a determined and hard-working group of people can do when they are joined by passion and a shared vision.”
Report highlights:
- $10M in research expenditures
- 65 total awards
- 110 collaborative awards
- 44 funded graduate students received external funding
- 5 total M.P.H. concentrations and a new online program
- 2 new undergraduate minors, one in collaboration with VCUArts
- 25 students presented in our first Public Health Student Showcase
