VCU School of Public Health and the VCU Alumni DMV Chapter are excited to host an inspiring conversation about careers in public health.

Join us on Wednesday, April 16 at 12 p.m. for a moderated virtual discussion about careers and opportunities in the public health world.

The landscape is changing and uncertainty plagues the field of public health, but the work continues. The world needs researchers and practitioners more than ever. To help navigate the changes and provide some clarity, we have four outstanding VCU alumni to share their perspectives.

  • Elizabeth Do, Ph.D. (Ph.D. ‘17) (M.P.H. ‘12), is a research director with the Schroeder Institute at Truth Initiative as well as a professional lecturer in epidemiology at the the Milken Institute School of Public Health at the George Washington University.
  • Joshua Montgomery, D.M.S., PA-C,, (M.P.H. ‘17) is a physician assistant with Heale Medical Primary Care and the Greater Washington Oncology Associates. Joshua is also an assistant professor at Shenandoah University’s Physician Assistant program.
  • Alton Reid, M.P.H., (B.S.‘13) is a public health doctoral student at Rutgers University. 
  • Jovonni Spinner, Dr.P.H., M.P.H., C.H.E.S., C.D.E., (B.S. ‘02) is the CEO and Founder of Beacon Public Health

This event is open to all VCU students and alumni in any degree program. There will be 40 minutes of moderated discussion followed by a Q&A with attendees, as time permits.
