VCU honors Nolan Wages, Ph.D., with National/International Recognition Award
Nolan Wages, Ph.D., professor of biostatistics and director of the Biostatistics Shared Resource at VCU’s Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center, has received VCU’s National/International Recognition Award (NIRA). This honor recognizes faculty whose accomplishments earn national and international acclaim while advancing the university’s mission.
A leader in his field, Wages focuses on designing, monitoring, and analyzing early-phase clinical trials. His novel trial design methodology has been implemented in numerous investigator-initiated cancer clinical trials.
Wages serves as Associate Editor for Clinical Trials and a member of the Statistical Editorial Board for Nature Medicine. He is also a Fellow of the Society for Clinical Trials. Earlier this year, he received the Virginia Chapter of the American Statistical Association (VA-ASA) Dayanand Naik Award for his outstanding contributions to statistics and service in Virginia.
Wages was honored during a ceremony hosted by VCU’s Office of the Provost on December 4, celebrating his impact at the VCU School of Public Health and beyond.
