School of Social Work

No. 28 M.S.W. Program in the U.S.

Congratulations to Virginia Commonwealth University School of Social Work inaugural B.S.W. Federal Policy Fellows.

The B.S.W. Federal Policy Fellow is an undergraduate student opportunity designed specifically to provide hands-on experience for B.S.W. juniors and seniors interested in shaping of federal policy. The fellows will accompany fellowship organizers and school faculty members, Matt Bogenschutz, Ph.D. and Alex Wagaman, Ph.D., to Washington, D.C. to engage lobbyists, advocates and policymakers. This year’s program focuses on low income housing and homelessness.

Each fellow was selected from dozens of applicants for their passion for social work and federal policy by a panel of School of Social Work faculty.
