Visit with the dean
Alice Barber, VCU School of Social Work emerita associate professor, welcomed dean of VCU School of Social Work, Jim Hinterlong, Ph.D., into her New Orleans home recently. She reflected on a personal and professional journey that brought her to the school just before VCU was formed and where she remained on the faculty until 1992.
To this day, Alice remains passionate about VCU, the School of Social Work and, of course, the VCU men’s basketball team.
