Ph.D. program update
Virginia Commonwealth University School of Social work Ph.D. Program Director, Sarah Kye Price, Ph.D. has recently announced her decision to step down as program director to focus on her research to advance maternal and child health and enhance mental health services for women during and around the time of pregnancy.
In her role as director, Price made significant contributions to the program. She increased administrative support, created an outstanding Ph.D. study and seminar space in Academic Learning Commons and developed new marketing methods for the program’s Ph.D. candidates. Students, alumni, faculty and staff alike are grateful for her efforts.
Price will continue on as a associate professor of social work and will be highly involved in the program as an instructor, mentor and adviser in the program.
