President’s Awards for Professional and Administrative Distinction: Call for Nominations
Dear VCU and VCU Health System Colleagues,
Virginia Commonwealth University and the VCU Health System serve as one national urban public research institution dedicated to the success and well-being of our students, patients, faculty, staff and community. Our incredible success is a credit to many people, including my talented and dedicated colleagues at VCU. Every day, in myriad ways, they demonstrate their commitment to excellence and outstanding performance in support of our mission to promote exceptional teaching, research, discovery, community engagement and patient care.
In 2013, VCU established the President’s Awards for professional and administrative distinction. These awards honor VCU and VCU Health employees for their outstanding performance, achievement and service excellence. These awards are conveyed every year at the Service Recognition Celebration and reception. This year’s Service Recognition Celebration will be virtual and will take place on Tuesday, March 23rd at 3 p.m. You can find more information on the event on the VCU HR Reward and Recognition website.
The awards include:
The President’s Award of Excellence: This award is the highest honor we can bestow upon an employee and it recognizes one exceptional person for his or her contributions to VCU or the VCU Health System throughout his or her career. Submit your nomination for this award.
The President’s Outstanding Achievement Award: This award recognizes two people who have exceeded their peers in accomplishing exceptional achievements, leadership and contributions that have resulted in significant benefits to the university or health system within the realm of the employees’ jobs. Submit your nomination for this award.
The President’s Service Excellence Award: This award recognizes two people who exceed expectations by demonstrating outstanding service to students, patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders of the university and health system, and display a positive attitude even under the most difficult circumstances. Submit your nomination for this award.
