To the VCU Community,
I am writing to say, THANK YOU.
This pandemic has shown us we can innovate and break the mold of higher education’s centuries-old system. And, you continue to prove that Virginia Commonwealth University is a community that quickly and successfully adapts and responds to the unforeseen, fulfilling in exceptional ways our missions in education research, creativity and clinical care.
We now know what was can no longer be. It’s time for transformative innovation. It’s time to shake it up.
In the coming weeks, I will talk more about my vision for VCU during the State of the University address. I will have transformational news to share with you – news that will accelerate our ability to advance human health and well-being and position VCU as a global leader in education, research and patient care. I hope you will join me on Feb. 15.
