2021 PACME Celebration
Dear colleagues,
Please join Vice President Aashir Nasim, members of our university community and me for the 2021 annual Presidential Awards for Community Multicultural Enrichment (PACME).
We will host this year’s celebration virtually at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, and invite you to view this live event.
The PACME ceremony was created to recognize members of the University and Health System communities who have contributed to advocating equity, building community, establishing cross-cultural initiatives, nurturing acceptance and promoting civility throughout the university.
The winners of this year’s awards are:
- Andrew P. Daire, Ph.D., academic and administrative leadership award;
- M. Alex Wagaman, Ph.D., faculty award;
- Michelle D. Hawkins, MA, staff award; and
- Amanda M. Parks, Ph.D. candidate, student award.
The Riese-Melton Award will be presented to one of these award recipients during the ceremony.
This year, we will also present the President’s Inclusive Excellence Lifetime Achievement Award to Seth Leibowitz, Ed.D.
I encourage you to invite your colleagues, staff, and local community members to attend this important celebration.
Best wishes,
Michael Rao
