Celebrating our remarkable graduates
Today, we celebrate the graduation of more than 2,200 people from Virginia Commonwealth University. It is truly a great day for our newly minted alumni, their family and friends. I couldn’t be more proud or encouraged by them — they are brilliant, engaged, and diverse — and the world is great need of them.
As our graduates progress to the next chapter, they can be proud of the fact that they received such an excellent education at VCU. They can be proud of the fact that they were taught and mentored by people dedicated to helping them realize their goal of receiving an education from a major national research university known for innovation and creativity. We can be proud of the fact that our graduates are persistent and equipped to do their very best as they go out and contribute to society.
