Standing with OU
University of Oklahoma President David Boren’s swift, decisive and no-tolerance response to the sad and despicable turn of events that unfolded at the University of Oklahoma this week hopefully will help heal some of the wounds opened by the video of some fraternity members’ racist behavior.
Virginia Commonwealth University, with a deep and firm commitment to diversity in all its forms, stands proudly with our OU colleagues in the repudiation of this behavior. Hats off to President Boren for taking such visible, needed and passionate steps to stop this fraternity in its tracks and to punish those who would use their speech for hate.
