Team VCU Medical Center shines at Collegiate Road Nationals
Congratulations to the VCU Medical Center team for its outstanding work at the 2014 USA Cycling Collegiate Road National Championship.
The race brought much excitement to Richmond this past weekend, and the VCU Medical Center was at the heart of the event. As the medical sponsor and sole health care provider, the VCU Medical Center helped to ensure the availability of medical services for roughly 400 athletes and thousands of spectators — a preview for next year when the UCI Road World Championships will bring an estimated 450,000 spectators and 1,500 athletes to Richmond for nine days. VCU Medical Center is in charge of medical care for that event as well.
And congratulations to our very own Chris Jones, a senior in the general health and physical education concentration, for winning the Division I men’s individual time trial Friday.
