Patricia Kinser appointed to State Board of Health
Patricia Kinser, Ph.D., RN, WHNP-BC, FNAP, associate professor in the Department of Family and Community Health Nursing at the VCU School of Nursing, has been appointed by Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe to serve as a member of the State Board of Health. Kinser will serve a three-year term.
The State Board of Health provides leadership in planning and policy development for the Commonwealth and the Virginia Department of Health to implement a coordinated, prevention-oriented program that promotes and protects the health of all Virginians. In addition, the Board serves as the primary advocate and representative of the citizens of the Commonwealth in achieving optimal health.
