Langston Center seeking abstracts for its annual symposium
The Langston Center for Quality, Safety and Innovation is seeking abstract submissions for its annual symposium, titled “Patients and Practitioners: Partnering for Health,” being held Tuesday, Oct. 3 from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Kontos Medical Sciences Building on the MCV Campus. The symposium’s purpose is to explore ways to partner optimally with patients and families.
The goals are to:
- Identify evidence-based approaches to partnering with patients and families
- Compare and contrast the experiences of patients and families with the perspective of practitioners and health care leaders
- Discuss emerging theory-driven directions for enhancing partnership between patients and practitioners
The Langston Center seeks presentations to describe innovations that support partnering with patients and families to improve health care quality.
Abstracts should describe the purpose or goals of the project, a description of the methods, programs, or practices utilized, and current results or conclusions, as appropriate. The works of faculty, educators, practitioners and students are welcome. Abstracts are limited to 300 words and may include works in progress. Only abstracts submitted online before close of business Friday, Aug. 4 will be considered.
