Mr. Jeff Wing, National Scholarship Coordinator, will hold an information session regarding the Presidential Management Fellows Program on Monday, September 30, at 10am and Wednesday, October 2nd at 2pm in the conference room in the NSO Conference Room (1210).

The goal of the Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) is to recruit into the federal government graduate students who are interested in a career in public service, particularly working for the federal government.  Applicants from ALL academic disciplines who have a strong commitment and interest in public programs are encouraged to apply.

Candidates for PMF should have a strong academic record and be completing a graduate degree by August 2020.  The on-line application will be available starting Thursday, October 3, and must be completed by Thursday, October 17.  After the selection process, finalists are announced the week of November 25th.

At this information session, Dr. Charles Conyers, a graduate of VCU’s Public Administration PhD program and a former Presidential Management Fellow, will share his experiences with the PMF and working in the Office of Personnel Management for the federal government.   Undergraduates are also welcome.
