The Truman Scholarship recognizes students who plan to pursue graduate study and then careers in public service.  Candidates must be juniors who are committed to work in public service for three of the first seven years after completing their graduate degree.

Competitive Truman candidates will be strong students (GPA > 3.5), will already have significant community service and leadership experiences and will have a plan for pursuing graduate education that will lead to a career in fields related to government, education, nonprofits or public interest.

Students who are not yet eligible to apply are encouraged to attend a Truman information session to learn more about this opportunity.
