Users getting “The extension target is invalid…” Error UPDATE

Blackboard is currently experiencing issues when users add URL’s (hyperlinks) to Blackboard.
Users may be receiving an error that says, “The extension target is invalid. Please get a new instance of the extension from the extension framework.”
We are working with Blackboard Engineers at their Managed Hosting and will post updates here as we receive them.
