Discover Möbius: VCU’s Newest STEM Tool
We are very happy to announce that an agreement to procure Möbius has been reached and is now available to all VCU faculty, staff, and students for your STEM-based learning needs.
Möbius, a DigitalEd product, is a cloud-based learning platform designed to create and deploy STEM course materials for all modalities. Providing lessons, assessments, and interactive learning activities, it unfolds the potential for the STEM student to acquire knowledge at a guided yet self-defined pace. Over the past two years, the Learning Systems team has conducted an in-depth analysis of various products, demos, and piloting to identify a STEM tool that meets our community’s needs. Following several vendor demonstrations; faculty input regarding wants, needs, and must-haves; a one-year pilot with user training and feedback sessions; and two user feedback surveys, Möbius was determined to be the best fit for this need.
Möbius has also been identified as a viable alternative to the Lon-Capa system. Lon-Capa has been used for many years but has recently presented with some usage, support, and security issues that could not be overcome. For this reason, Lon-Capa will be decommissioned in 2025.

These sessions will allow you to bring your specific questions and needs directly to a DigitalEd support representative. We encourage you to immerse yourself in the tool and ask questions.
