Join VoiceThread for their free workshops! If you are new to VoiceThread or just want some new ideas, this interactive and hands-on explorations is just what you need.

The sessions are led by VoiceThread’s instructional designer and online educator George Haines who will share his expertise to help you get the most from VoiceThread.

Teaching Languages with VoiceThreadNovember 15 at 1:00pm ET – Register

In this interactive session, participants will exchange ideas about creating learning experiences with VoiceThread around improved reading and writing skills in any language. Whether students are learning English or any other language, vocabulary, grammar and speaking are fundamental elements of any course. After completing this training, educators will be better equipped to design innovative lessons to develop these fundamentals with their students.

VoiceThread and StorytellingNovember 22 at 1:00pm ET – Register

Most cognitive scientists agree that storytelling is a great way to help your message stick in the minds of an audience. Our minds are fine-tuned to remember information shared within a narrative structure, not a broadcast lecture. In this workshop, participants will learn how to use VoiceThread to create engaging stories with their students.

VoiceThread and Universal Design for Learning (UDL)November 29 at 1:00pm ET – Register

Participants will learn how VoiceThread can help educators provide multiple means of engagement, representation, action and expression for their courses. We will review how to use VoiceThread’s multi-modal communication platform, closed captioning features, alt-text, and VoiceThread Universal to design accessible lessons.
