Our minds are fine-tuned to remember information shared in a narrative structure, not a broadcast lecture. In this workshop, participants will learn how to use VoiceThread to create engaging stories with their students.
VoiceThread Basics – Upload, Comment, and Share

Participants will learn how to upload media, comment and annotate on that media, and share it with others. This will be a slow paced, step-by-step, hands-on workshop. It is open to both VoiceThread license holders and free members.
Humanizing Online Learning with VoiceThread

Creating engaging online courses is not easy. In many courses based on discussion boards, students feel isolated and disconnected from their instructors and classmates. VoiceThread bridges the gap in social presence often experienced in online learning environments. In this workshop, educators will learn how to establish that social presence and connect with their students using VoiceThread to improve student satisfaction and learning.

Jobs in STEM-related fields are increasing in importance, and today’s students need a deeper understanding of STEM subjects to perform in a global economy. In this interactive session, participants will have an opportunity to exchange ideas about STEM lesson design with VoiceThread and connect and share with other educators. The focus will be on student-centered lesson design and demonstration of understanding.
Using VoiceThread for Student Portfolios

About the Workshops
These workshops are completely free. The sessions are led by our instructional designer and online educator George Haines. George will share his expertise to help you get the most from VoiceThread.
