We received the following bulletin from Blackboard:
Blackboard Collaborate will be upgraded to Blackboard Collaborate 12.5 on Saturday May 4, 2013 from 10:00 pm to 2:00 am US Eastern (GMT -4).
What new features and bug fixes are included in the release of Blackboard Collaborate 12.5?
The update includes:
- Single-click individual permission controls
- Ability for moderators to disable chat emoticons
Key bug fixes include:
- Support for app share on Retina Display Macs
- Chat auto scrolling
- Recording marker index
- Flickering text in whiteboard
This upgrade does not affect your previous recordings, user accounts, or session links. Recordings will continue to play in the version they were created in.
How will users access this release?
Users will automatically access Blackboard Collaborate 12.5 sessions after the upgrade. Upon first access, users will download new files which will be stored in the Java cache. This download is approximately 7 MB in size.
Because of the additional download time, it may take them slightly longer to access web conferencing for the first time after the upgrade.
