Paul Rucker’s “Banking While Black” highlights Black Wall Street stories
Paul Rucker’s “Banking While Black” interactive art exhibit premiered at the Tempe, Arizona campus of Arizona State University on March 15, 2022. The project blends art and history to tell stories of the Black Wall Streets of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Durham, North Carolina and Richmond, Virginia, including stories of Black excellence that blossomed in those communities before they were destroyed.
