Meeting Minutes – September 17, 2020

Steve Barkley provided a presentation on the role and expectations of the Student Advisory Committee and the Tompkins-McCaw Library. Slides from the presentation are shared with the committee.
Emily Hurst provided an overview on the current state of VCU Libraries with interim leadership.
- Recruitment for new Dean of Libraries, University Librarian;
- Potential cuts to collections based on negotiations with vendors;
- Continuing to improve resources in the building including the Maker Space;
- Need for feedback about what a future health sciences library will look like.
Members were then given time to break out and get to know one another.
