Pi Day of Giving surpasses fundraising goal
VCU Engineering and Tau Beta Pi raised $4,054 in this month’s Pi Day of Giving fundraising campaign to benefit the Completion Grant fund.
In the days leading up to Pi Day on March 14 — in honor of engineers’ favorite irrational number — donors could vote for which professor they wanted to see get a pie in the face at a virtual alumni and student event on March 18. One dollar equalled one vote. The goal, naturally, was $3,141.
These professors and staff were still smiling even after getting pied:
| Caroline Budwell, Ph.D. | Laura Keller |
| Michael Cabral, Ph.D. | John Leonard, Ph.D. |
| Henry Donahue, Ph.D. | Patrick Martin, Ph.D. |
| James Ferri, Ph.D. | Carrie Peterson, Ph.D. |
| Frank Gulla, M.S. | Rachel Wasilewski |
| Jennifer Jordan, Ph.D. |
