VCU Alumni returns to Henrico, Virginia, March 5-9 for the A-10 Women’s Basketball Conference and to Washington, D.C., March 12-16 for the A-10 Men’s Basketball Conference.

VCU Women’s A-10 Pregame Reception

Get ready for the ultimate celebration, Ram fans! Witness the electrifying journey of VCU’s women’s basketball team as they charge into the A-10 tournament at the Henrico Sports and Events Center. Let’s turn up the excitement with a free unforgettable pregame bash with food and exclusive swag. Intermission Beer Company – Brewpub and Arcade is a VCU alum-owned business that is family friendly and only a three-minute drive to the Henrico Sports Complex. Registration is required as space is limited.

VCU Women’s Basketball Fan Headquarters

Join VCU alumni and fans before each women’s game and grab some exclusive VCU swag.

When: March 6-9, before each VCU women’s game

VCU Men’s A-10 Pregame Reception

VCU Alumni hosts a pregame reception prior to the VCU men’s first session in the A-10 tournament. Celebrate VCU’s return to D.C. with food, camaraderie and swag. We’ve secured space at Penn Social and Rocket Bar as the official pregame reception locations. Both venues will feature food, swag and games, plus a cash bar stocked with local craft beers. Registration is required as space is limited.

Update Your Selfie @ Shipgarten

Join the College of Humanities and Sciences, the College of Health Professions and the DMV regional alumni chapter for a happy hour at Shipgarten, an alumni-owned business. We’ll be offering appetizers, beer and wine, and the opportunity to update your profile pictures to match your vibe. We’ll have a photographer and a few different backdrops that fit different styles.

Bingo Night at Ornery Brewery

The College of Humanities and Sciences invites alumni to bingo night at Ornery Brewery in Fairfax, Virginia. VCU will have a small reserved area starting at 6 p.m., but you can come at any time and hop into the next game. We’ll have VCU prizes so make sure you find us and get a raffle ticket!

VCU School of Business Tour of Nationals Park

School of Business alumni can take a tour of the Nats Park, conducted by Center for Sports Leadership alum Hannah O’Neil (M.S.L.’22), manager, loyalty and ticket technology, for the Washington Nationals.

A-10 Kickoff Social

Join the VCU Alumni DMV and Richmond chapters for the VCU A-10 Kickoff Social presented by Virginia Credit Union. Special appearances include Rodney the Ram, VCU cheerleaders, VCU Gold Rush dancers and the VCU Peppas. All alumni, friends and fans are invited and, attendees will receive a free limited-edition VCU A-10 T-shirt (while supplies last)!

Exhibition Tour at Smithsonian American Art Museum

Hear from with Tobias Wofford, VCUarts art history professor and co-curator of the exhibition “The Shape of Power: Stories of Race and American Sculpture.” The exhibition features 82 artworks created between 1792 and 2023 and examines for the first time the ways in which sculpture has shaped and reflected attitudes and understandings about race in the United States.

Black Alumni Council A-10 Watch Party at The Park

Kick off A-10 weekend with the Black Alumni Council at D.C.’s lively and renowned Park at 14th. Join us for an evening happy hour with drink specials just for alumni and guests. Enjoy delicious food (first come, first served) and drinks while catching up on the A-10 tournament games and getting to know more Rams in the DMV.
