Lyndon F. Cooper | School of Dentistry

I trust everyone enjoyed a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day holiday and remembered our fallen warriors.

At this time of year, we must also remember our health care warriors and first responders. Dental health care workers and learners were sidelined in March, but I’m so pleased to announce that we have returned to bring oral health care to those who need it most.

Today we resumed dental and oral care through our faculty and staff clinics.

OMFS ready for patients.

I cannot say enough good things about the leadership at our school and the university for the work and preparation to create a safe resumption of care.

Many dedicated people made this happen and my thanks go to each of you.

We look forward to having our resident and student providers return to the clinic as soon that’s approved and feasible.

Two videos were produced to share our clinic safety preparation. Please feel free to share them with your dental school community, patients, and supporters.

Be safe, practice social distancing, perform hand hygiene regularly, and wear a mask in public places.

Thank you all,
