Student Experience with a Live Patient Licensure Exam
I just had the chance to look through the May 2012 issue of the American Student Dental Association News and was immediately drawn to an editorial by a recent graduate from the UCLA School of Dentistry. He recounted minute-by-minute his experience with the WREB exam, beginning the night before the exam, with his attempts to insure his patient will be present the next morning for the examination. He recounts running around during the night to track down his missing patient, involving multiple family members of the patient, to locate the patient. His own family and friend have to jump in to help and he ultimately had to pay-off the patient’s brother to complete his examination. The story begins on page 2 of the ASDA News which can be found at the link below. He concludes with “Enough is enough.”
