VCU now has a contract with Top Hat, which will become the University’s standard, supported Student Response System (SRS).

Top Hat is a secure, cloud-based solution which offers many new features for classroom engagement, is more compatible and functional than our current SRS (Turning Technologies). Students can use their own mobile device, purchase a Top Hat account, and receive credit for existing Turning Technology devices. Top Hat is available for use now, and the vendor has dedicated resources ready to assist a our faculty with getting started. We are committed to ensuring a successful implementation that is 100% functional by the start of Fall 2018 classes.
