The Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Business is pleased to announce Ankit Mathur (B.S. ’03, EMBA ’12, M.S. ’13), a distinguished leader in technology and healthcare innovation, as the keynote speaker for its spring 2024 commencement.

Mathur serves as chief technology officer for the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS), an organization that plays a central role in the nation’s public health by managing organ matching and transplantation. His extensive background also includes serving as the chief delivery officer for the U.S. Digital Service at The White House, where he led significant technology and policy improvements across the federal government.

Mathur’s ties to VCU Business runs deep. He has earned a trio of degrees from the School, including an undergraduate degree in Computer Information Systems, an Executive MBA and a Master of Science in Information Systems.

In 2016, Mathur co-founded Roundtrip Health, a digital healthcare transportation marketplace designed to eliminate transportation barriers to care. He also played a key role in developing one of the first health information exchanges in Virginia, one of the earliest in the United States.

Mathur’s work has earned him recognition in the professional community. In 2019, he received the “Founder of the Year” award from the Richmond Venture Forum, and in 2020, he was named one of “Richmond’s Top 40 Under 40” by Style Weekly.

VCU Business is honored to have Mathur share his insights and experiences with the 2024 graduating class, inspiring the next generation of leaders and innovators.
