College in the age of COVID-19 has affected faculty, staff, administrators, families … the list could go on but most affected are students. Students have had to quickly adapt to online learning and virtual communities with peers and faculty all the while maintaining their health and well-being. Recent graduate Vikhyath Veeramachaneni (B.A.’14/H&S) moderates a virtual discussion among current VCU students on how they have navigated the changes.

Social Justice-Injustice Series: Equality in Education

The VCU Alumni Richmond Chapter and the VCU Alumni African American Alumni Council host a series of social justice-injustice panel discussions focused on spreading awareness and spawning conversations around topics of social justice and disparities concerning Black people and people of color. The first panel discussion features Tomikia LeGrande, Ed.D., VCU’s vice president for strategy, enrollment management and student success, and 2019 National Teacher of the Year Rodney Robinson (M.Ed.’11/E).
