Currently our application for Orientation Leaders is now open. Students can apply at nsfp.vcu.edu. The deadline is Friday, Oct. 21, 2016 at noon.

There are many benefits to serving as an Orientation Leader (OL). Beyond the paycheck and incredible swag, students will gain a network of friends, faculty and staff who will support them, challenge them and help them to grow into a better person. Students will have the potential to leave their legacy at VCU through the impact they will make on new students and their families. Our Orientation Team prides itself on being more than colleagues or friends. We are FAMILY and we look out for one another during the time we spend together and long after NSO has ended.

So…what are we looking for? Each year hundreds of students apply to represent VCU as an OL. The Office of New Student and Family Programs strives to select and build a team that is responsible for the successful transition of new Rams and their families. Those selected to be OLs have been identified as excellent ambassadors for VCU and are charged with one core responsibility — to connect with students and families and to make them part of our community. Students do not have to be an extrovert to apply, but a willingness to be their genuine self is key. We are excited for students to become a part of our Ongoing Legacy.
