A letter from Dr. Klink, Senior Vice Provost for Student Affairs to graduate and professional students:

It seems particularly important after more than two very challenging years for students and universities to take time to celebrate and appreciate our amazingly talented and diverse graduate and professional students. Graduate and professional students at VCU have a tremendous impact on our university community through scholarship, cutting edge research addressing some of society’s most vexing problems, clinical care, teaching, advising, and supporting the university’s mission through a wide variety of graduate assistantships. All of this is accomplished for many while balancing work, family, community service and a host of other responsibilities. Graduate and professional students are tremendous contributors to the culture and accomplishments of VCU. The gifts, talents and energy that graduate and professional students contribute to VCU make us a better university for faculty, staff, undergraduates, and our larger Richmond community. Weeks like this are a reminder to each of us throughout the year to show you our appreciation. Thank you for your numerous contributions and please know that you are appreciated and valued.
