COVID-19 Message for Parents & Families
Dear VCU parents and families,
Over the last week, we have shared several messages with you regarding changes to the operation of university and Division of Student Affairs services due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). We are at a critical juncture and continue to monitor the situation to ensure we do what is best for our students and community.
We urge parents and families to talk with your student about returning home or remaining home. We are asking for your help so that we can continue to help support those residential students that have no other option for housing. If your student is able to remain home or return home then we urge you to assist us with having them do so immediately.
Please ensure your student has a back-up plan available in the event of further closure to Residential Life and Housing or other campus services. As we have seen, the health crisis we are facing is changing not only day by day but minute by minute, therefore we appreciate your continued partnership in making appropriate plans with your student in the event that rapid changes occur.
